NMEDA: Your Way Back To Independence

I remember a movie with an actress portraying the role of being a caregiver. Just imagine yourself taking care of an elderly or a totally handicapped or disabled person where you need to change their diaper, take them to the shower room to bathe them or simply lift and carry them to enable them of something they can no longer do alone. I can somehow relate on how really hard such activity is.

However, NMEDA is not a seller of equipment. It is an non-profit association that was formed to promote safe driving and equipment for people. It actually has two (2) components; the dealers which they also call members and the QAP or the Quality Assurance Program.

The dealers are those members who ensure observance of the safety standards as well as the obedience to its guidelines which they also update from time to time. Whilst, QAP is a recognized accreditation program for the mobility equipment industry which was developed to promote quality, safety and reliability as contained there in.

So it is basically, while NMEDA aims to serve and assist those disabled ones through their dealers who educates them on obtaining the most suitable end reliable equipment;  it also helps improve the industry of mobility equipment.

Things should never be difficult as it seems even for a handicapped person.Transportation is the key to freedom, NMEDA is the key to quality transportation.
