New Bike for Coi?

That one ridden by Teddy is Coi's old and current bike, the one he tore down just recently. A repair was done on it but Coi does not want to use it anymore; maybe because it was not as comfortable as before.
Yesterday morning he asked me to buy him a new one and I am planning to get something bigger for him. I still want the Disney inspired cars design. I am thinking if I need to acquire one this soon or should I wait for his third birthday instead.
I don't want him chasing for his playmates' toys but I also don't want him to feel like he's a total spoiled brat.  What should I do? =(

Destroying Capability of Coi-Coi

Who would have thought that a two-year old kid can tear down a thing? I mean it would not be impossible on his little toys, I guess that's normal for a child of his gender and age.
Last night, I was so surprised when my aunt told me that Coi's bike has been worn out. Its steering tool had a crack and was removed when he was playing with it yesterday morning.
I just can't imagine that at his age he can destroy this hard metal or iron thing. I hope that Mr. ironsmith can still fix it else I would have to buy him a new one. Cause if not, he would have the tendency to grab his playmate's bike. :(

MM: Balloon Crown

mommy moments

Macoi loves balloons so much. In every party we are attending we always make sure than we can take home a balloon. Last Saturday, in Amicah's party, the clown made him a balloon twisted forming a bicycle. Unfortunately, that did not reach home at its supposed shape. So I had it retwisted and made it as if Coi's crown. Glad, he had fun putting it on his head.

Feeding Frenzy - Coi's Newest Obsession

Since Pao has installed a lot of games in my desktop I picked one which I shared to Coi though I am not allowing him to play computer games yet (he doesn't know how) I let him watch me play. So every night, before going to sleep,  this has been part of our routine - I will play while he just watch. We are now at the 38th stage out of its 40 stages. Last two and I have to present him a new one.

Playing the game is so much fun. As the name implies you just have to feed frenzy the fish at each stage. In feeding your fish there are certain goals which you must achieve.

And these are some of my personal observations as I have experienced playing this game:
  • A first you have to let your fish eat those fishes of smaller sizes than you are. Anyways, once your fish has eaten a certain number as required it will grow and grow which will enable it to grab those of bigger sizes.
  • You have to be very quick and careful. Take hold of all those bonus items, such as those will give you speed, extra life, a chance to freeze those predators, an opportunity to grow in an instant and those things which will add more points for your score.
  • Avoid those whales and sharks and anything bigger while your fish is still small. Get rid of those jelly fishes that will make your fish faint. Do not eat the tiny green fishes or else your fish will be poisoned. Do not let your fish munch those bombs so it will never explode.
Feeding Frenzy will test your speed and your ability to take care of your fish pet. You just have to exercise patience as this will make you tremble.

It is also informative  in sense as you well get to know variety of fishes as you go to the next levels.

Below is the screen shot from where I stopped not because I actually intended to but because the game hanged.

Frenzy did not swim anymore... =(
Hope it will work next time. Haven't tried again yet as I am just stealing this moment to blog while Coi is already asleep.

Macoi Just Learned About Solar System

mommy moments

This will be my share for this week's Mommy Moments (originally written yesterday) - Macoi doesn't know how to read yet.

Just last night I bought some study charts for Coi. One of those is the Solar System.

photo from internet
Tonight upon reaching home, I was so surprised to know that he has already memorized each planet. He can now point out which is which. He can already identify each and every planet even if you start from top to bottom, vice-versaor in no particular order.

As early as now, I am seeing in him the potential of a bright child (just like momi, hehe!). I am so proud of my son.

Below are the pictures of the charts I purchased from National Bookstore (my apology for the photo quality):

Tomato Fruit

I love garden. Simply looking at a greeny and flowery spot is much relaxing for me. I somehow have a green thumb as well. I just wish I have enough of chances to indulge myself into gardening and I also wish that we have enough of space to make it happen.

My aunt loves to plant too. She's the one who usually takes care of our flowers in front of our humble abode. The unit next to mine is still unoccupied until this time and that's where tita has decided to place her tomato plants.

Everyday these tomatoes grow even bigger and bigger and bearing more and more fruits. I am asking Macoi to pick them up but he didn't even attempt as my tita will get mad.

Trivia: Is tomato really a fruit? Yes it is, as it has seeds but you may usually see it as one of the vegetables  group as it is being used as veggie in cooking.

Wishing for a Trip To Dallas

I have always wanted to go to United States . And I am hoping someday I could have the chance to be there with my family. Dallas, Texas is one of the particular destinations I have dreamed of reaching; this being one of the biggest cities in Texas and in United States as well.

I can imagine myself driving down the city with my Chevrolet Silverado, with my favorite songs playing in my car stereo, with my son Macoi beside me, humming along the music. It isn’t bad to dream, anyway it’s free. But we usually envision something nice and easy.

What if a car trouble occurs while I am in the middle of driving? Well, I guess I would not have so many problems about it, as there’s Dallas auto repair along the way which can extend various car services such as brake job and etc.

At least, there wouldn’t be any biased in my daydreaming practice. Not just the good things were considered but as well as those unanticipated problem which we might encounter along the way. But still, safety must be exercised at all times. I am just hoping that I can get hold of travelling to the USA soon.

Coi's Badge

I have been thinking for quite some time on how can I come up with a badge for this site. I have chosen a picture to use and even researched for a photo to support my idea. When I already have them on hand, my problem was on how I can make it more realistic in appearance. I have tried working on it in Paint, MS Picture Manager and even in Photoshop, sad to say I still don't know how.

And so I asked for an expert's intervention which led me to asking Coi's godfather Ahlie.Without any questions he did it. I sent the photos I have through email and he sent it back two (2) days ago. Only last night when I had the chance to make it as a badge. And so here's the outcome:

PrinceCoi Badge />

As you would notice, still there's a problem on its size. Hope you will still be glad to grab it. If I have enough of time again I'll try to fix it or ask for another artistic hand and mind to do it for me.

Macoi's Newest Addiction

mommy moments

Just last weekend when I decided to buy Coi a new DVD for his everyday cartoon marathon. He already memorized, Barney Songs, Little Einsteins' explorations, Spongebob's adventures, Hi-5's dance steps, and some Tom & Jerry, Pooh the Bear and friends, Mickey Mouse and friends as he has them all. It may not be the complete set but at least he has a little bit of everything. While he sometimes express the feeling of being tired watching them all so I looked for something different.

I actually got three(3), a movie compilation including "cars", a collection of nursery rhymes and his newest addiction now - The Backyardigans. He is really having fun watching Uniqua, Pablo, Tyrone, Tasha and Austin as they play with their imaginations. And anyone else at home is also enjoying watching Coi as he imitates the group singing and dancing together.

And now he is close to learning all of its scenes as well, so I am already thinking of what I could got him next.

Kids and Bags

mommy moments

I was actually wondering why how can  I relate the two components of today's theme at Mommy Moments. Glad I was able to dig my weary mind about it.

As I have mentioned from one of my older posts, I was such a bag addict before. Before when I am still single, when Macoi was not yet molded. And I will give emphasis that it was before.

Right now above anything else, my  prince would be my priority. Instead of me saving for a bag, I would rather buy Coi something that he will be happy and have fun about.

I have already shared this pic in one of my entries for GT

But what I would like to stress about it are Macoi's bags. He loves his "cars" backpack very much and this is what we usually bring every time we go out while his three (3) baby bags are no longer in use.

Being a mommy now, I would definitely exchange my bags for my kid's happiness. And I will always says how I so love my Macoi and never did I had any regret about him.

Macoi's Post Birthday Party Celebration

Yes, after ten (10) days Macoi had another birthday party in celebration of his becoming a two (2) year old kiddo. The bash was held at Bicutan and I have to give credit to my would be parents and sisters in-law.

Che was the one who has been diligent enough for this celebration as she did the cooking and even spent a lot I guess for the food and stuffs. Ate Christy contributed the balloons and cake. Papa prepared "bopis" while mama took care of Macoi as I also cooked a sweet spaghetti.

This time its for kids and so there were children.

They are Coi's first visitors who came.

Just like the traditional birthday party, there was a blowing of candle done with Coi's lolo dado.

And this is actually the second time as he also did it at home when we had our first celebration.

And she is Princess, Coi's favorite guest. My Dear Coi, you're too young for the courtship thing huh!

Car Wrecked

Two (2) months ago when I bought a toy truck which he can ride on for Coi as he was trying to have fun using his first little one. It was somewhat shameful for me seeing my son riding on that toy while his friends have the real one - though he has rechargeable motorbike and bicycle as well.

Hence, when I had my salary during that time I immediately went to the mall to buy for a new one - a toy truck which can carry him.

I can see it that Macoi was very happy during that time and so am I. From then on he can play with his friends, even race with them and he can roam around the subdivision riding in his "traktrakan". He was such a reckless driver as he really drives fast and he always wants to pass through a ramp.

Last night when I came home I was told by my aunt that Macoi doesn't have a truck to ride anymore. And I was shocked to see his toy with wheels detached and broken braces.

So sad... and so it only means that I have to buy him a new one. I cannot afford seeing him just staring at his playmates racing with their toy cars.

Hope I can buy something that's durable enough for Coi. Admittedly sometimes he's playing with his car as if a horse that hops.

"Aaayy... Baby, we can't fix it anymore..." We will just replace it with a new one but I don't know when can that be. :)

A Project for Coi

I missed blogging again... I was supposed to write last night but I wasn't able to get up when I did lullaby to my prince. It's already 2:30am when I realized that my PC is still on. That's when Coi asked for his milk. I was supposed to show what I have accomplished last night. It's never too late.

The task I've listed  was 90% done, it's the closet that's left and I'm doing it right now.

                                                                     -our sleeping area-

I was able to clean our room, wash our clothes, take Coi for his vaccine, go to SM for our Jollibee bonding moment and I even had this chance to do a project for Coi.

I was planning before to buy another set of learning chart for Macoi but I remembered he has flash cards sitting untouched in our cabinet. I decided to use them instead. And here's the output:

What can you say? I had a hard time aligning them all and even harder as Macoi's roaming around trying to remove what was already pasted to the wall. Nevertheless,it was a success. Macoi can now read them before he goes to sleep.

He can now count from 1-10, sings the alphabet, bahay kubo, Barney and Little Einstein's songs though you cannot clearly understand the words he utters. Baby talk stage still. Anyway's he's just turning two(2) this coming June 24, 2010.

Happy Birthday dearest Coi! Momi and Dadi luv u so much and the rest of the family as well.
